Real Estate Appraiser Job in Houston, TX
Are you looking for an opportunity to utilize and expand your real estate appraisal skills in the Houston market area? Choice Point Home Appraisals is seeking an experienced residential appraiser able to complete assignments throughout the Houston metro area. This is a great opportunity for an appraiser running a small shop to supplement or replace their current appraisal income with an additional source of assignments.
The majority of our appraisals are performed for private clients and can be completed using General Purpose forms. As such, we prefer appraisers who have experience completing reports for non-lending use including tax protests, estate settlement, for sale by owner, pre-listing, cash buyers, divorce and general value inquiries.
Compensation
Choice Point is a market leader in Houston residential appraisal services. This positioning allows us to maintain premium fees for our appraisal services. We share this with our appraisers by offering a very generous fee split dependent upon experience.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter that is both punctual and responsive to calls and emails. Someone with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Houston market is preferred. Appraisers will be responsible for setting their own appointments, thus, organizational and time management skills are a necessity. Appraisers are expected to complete “typical” single family assignments within 2-3 business days after the site visit. Attention to detail and error-free reports are a MUST!

- No Probation or Disciplinary Actions in the Past 5 Years
- Current E&O Insurance
- Friendly & Professional Appearance & Attire
- Receptionist or support staff (preferred, not required)
