What does it take to become a housing real estate appraiser?

If you have an MAI, does that qualify you to do housing real estate appraisals?

It takes 4-6 years depending on how many hours you can manage to apprentice each year.

You need to check with the licensing authority in your state or an appraisal company in your area. I don’t think that the MAI is all that is required, but you may be able to satisfy the education requirements with it.

    Good luck.
