Cleaning will definitely help and add some plants, inside and out. They don't cost too much. In my limited experience it amazes me how the appraisal come in at just the right amount you need it to and not over it. Unless of course the price you are asking or wanting to pay is way out of line. Possible paint in your kitchen. The two rooms that will increase the value the most are the kitchen and the baths. A new toilet seat cover. New bath mat, shower curtain, make sure tiles are on the wall. If not get a caulk gun and glue them on.
